This Tiu Keng Leng Ocean Shores D-room renovation showcases a modern minimalist approach in Hong Kong residential interior design. Working within an existing two-bedroom layout, AC focused on three client priorities: timeless aesthetics, kitchen functionality without sacrificing openness, and a layered lighting strategy that supports both daytime and nighttime moods.
Living & Dining
The living room features a full-height marble TV wall in light-grey veining, paired with a suspended dark charcoal storage cabinet. A continuous LED cove ceiling and an oval ring pendant light deliver soft ambient illumination. The dining zone connects seamlessly via continuous light-oak flooring, with a bubble-cluster pendant chosen to add sculptural drama above the table.
U-Shape Custom Kitchen
Designed as a half-open kitchen with a glass sliding door, the U-shape configuration integrates fridge, hob, sink, microwave niche, and washing machine on three sides. Beige PET-matte lower cabinets pair with deep-charcoal upper cabinets, with under-cabinet LED task lighting and toe-kick ambient strips for night-time use.
Bedrooms & Dual Bathrooms
The master bedroom uses light oak veneer panelling with a full-height white wardrobe, integrated bedside platform and window-side reading bench. The second bedroom doubles as a Home Office with a floating desk, full-wall storage, and adaptive single-bed plan. Two bathrooms are deliberately differentiated: master bath in deep charcoal stone with black PVD fittings; guest bath in lighter grey stone for brighter access.
Materials & Lighting Layers
The selection logic threads three categories: stone language (marble TV wall, kitchen quartz, bathroom tiles), surface panels (oak veneer, PET matte lacquer, white lacquer), and continuous light-oak flooring. Lighting works in three layers — main fixtures, task lights, and ambient cove/under-cabinet strips — controlled by smart switches for one-touch scene presets. The result: a Hong Kong renovation case study that ages gracefully and rewards daily living.
